As with his other works, a world of technological fun. Stephenson explores science fiction ideas to their logical ends like few others, with a mix of cultural critique and strong opinions.

I was most interested in the beliefs on raising a small child, so the second half felt less interesting, like a chaotic process where I could trust how it started, but couldn’t follow it later, or believe that’s actually what it should be like.
