Surreal and lucid, what is this book even about? Supposedly the American dream. I couldn’t tell that was the case, but it was an enjoyable ride nonetheless. Between the confused vaulting sequences of stories and the animated scratchy drawings, Thompson’s book is a wild ride of laughs and bewilderment.
