Everybody Lies: What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who We Really Are

Seth Stephens-Davidowitz | 2017 | ★★★☆☆
Read: January 13, 2022

The main thesis of this book is that Google trends is a new tool in understanding test hypothesis. It’s written with the non-technical lay person in mind.

SD’s work is compelling and thought provoking: such as on the prevalence of explicit racism, and sexual niches.

I would have preferred this to be a series of blog posts in the style of another statistician such as Gelman, SD spills much ink getting himself in an intellectual bind.
