Entagled Life starts, like all great non-fiction, with a halting defense of how the author’s mind was opened in a LSD trial. Sheldrake’s enthusiasm is certainly palpable and he writes with broad metaphors that leave you stuck in your imagination, but with an eye for precise detail too. Sure, there are a lot of digressions into psycho-active drugs, ‘entangled life’ is as much of an advocation of these as it is a confused grand hypothesis of… entangled life, but Sheldrake has seized the mushroom moment, and is helping us all be more mycopholic, and certainly less myopic.
